The primary string orchestras are open to all primary aged students at any skill level. Rehearsals run weekly at a number of locations. Each string orchestra rehearses the same pieces each week and performs the same repertoire. Each month, these orchestras have opportunities to work towards busking and school event performances.
The wedding quartet rehearsals are open to all secondary aged students and selected primary aged students. Sunday rehearsals run each week. Students that have polished the repertoire perform frequently at weddings and corporate events around Melbourne. All performances are paid. Performances for interested parties are held on Sundays at 7:30pm
The Junior Chamber Orchestra is for the most advanced primary aged students of a third grade level and above. Students are strategically developed in their ensemble playing to prepare them for future paid quartet performances. A portfolio of performances is collated for scholarship applications. In addition the Junior Chamber Orchestra focuses on performing two showcase concertos each semester. Performers are only selected for performances if they have polished their orchestral part to the highest standard. All performances are paid.
The Senior Chamber Orchestra is for the most advanced students of a seventh grade level and above and focuses on performing two showcase concertos each semester. Performers are only selected for performances if they have polished their orchestral part to the highest standard. All performances are paid at a rate that reflects the level of perfectionism expected.
