We are a string instrument specialist program providing students with paid opportunities to perform and teach. Too often students stop playing in their teenage years due to a lack of further opportunities. We intend to see all those hours of practice utilised through motivating students to work towards teaching and performing at a professional level.

Students that can get something wrong 100 times but continue to persist in order to overcome any challenge.
Perfectionism
Students that comprehend what it looks like and sounds likes to perform at a professional level in order to strive to reach the highest standards.
Efficient Practice
Students that understand how to implement focused practice in order to improve specific elements of their playing and progress at the fastest rate possible.
Theory
Knowledge of the signs, symbols and musical terminology.
Technique
How to play an instrument to maximise one's playing ability.
Intonation
Determining when a note is in or out of tune, and the ability to correct one's intonation in order to produce perfect pitch.
Rhythm
Maintaining a consistent pulse throughout one's playing and the ability to listen and adjust one's rhythm in an ensemble.
Expression
The ability to play with musicality and in an engaging fashion.
Termly Recitals & Concerts
Students are provided with the opportunity to showcase their developing abilities in front of an audience, motivating students in their practice and giving them positive performance experiences.
Orchestras
Students are prepared and invited to participate in the comprehensive network of performing string orchestras that run weekly across Melbourne. Top performing students are recruited in the chamber orchestras for paid performance opportunities at weddings and corporate events.
Technical & Theory Exams
Termly exams motivating students to comprehensively develop in all areas of their playing and knowledge.
Teacher Mentoring
Students are strategically developed in their communication, initiative, organisational skills, business skills and their ability to inspire and motivate students. Teacher mentoring is designed to prepare students to become competent teachers, but also develop their personal skills and prepare them for all future careers.
